San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe recommended bail be $300,000 Why was it set so low? He was arrested October 15, 2017 at 4 AM. The first print media to cover this important story was the SFGate 5 days later. D.A. Steve Wagstaffe has a daily e-mail of what he considers Newsworthy that he sends to his special reporters. This story did not make that list, Why?
He was the CEO of Vungle on October 15, 2017 the day he was arrested. Now he is former CEO of Vungle.
The alleged victim’s were his 1 year old daughter 3 year old son and his father who called 911. When police arrived they heard a child screaming from the back yard, they found Zain Jaffer fully naked straddling his 3 year old son pressing his face into his genitals. He was tased after refusing to comply to orders from the police officers and he placed his legs around the neck of his child. He was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting police and a first responder.
His father who was also assaulted told police he thought his son was on LSD.
Remember this is 4AM both children and 2 adults are wide awake and 3 are being assaulted.
The attempted murder charge was dropped before the media even heard about this case, what was the hurry? Charges dropped in a couple of days? I know in the Political Prosecution case of a former Sheriff Deputy Juan Lopez who made a mistake and ran for Sheriff, He has had NO Charges dropped in 4 years, none.
