I have worked as a Private Victim’s Advocate in San Mateo County for the last 19 years. Illegally Appointed Sheriff Carlos Bolanos has never wished to communicate to me before July 19, 2017. After I heard about his comments at the Progress Seminar in Monterey County last weekend in response to an e-mail sent to all SMC elected officials.
“Im going to take care of them after the election.” “It will be dealt with.”
I was curious as to the sudden interest Bolanos had in communicating with me. I went back to look up my e-mails, here they are.

Hello Carlos,Could you look into this please.I always visit Matthew on Sunday. These last two weekends it has gotten very crowded. Now on the Six floor there is only two rooms out of four. Today the list was full. I had to go. I will try again on Tuesday. That county is getting enough money to keep the visiting rooms in working order.Thank YouMichael G. Stogner
Human trafficking sentencing
Editor,
This is a response to “Jury issues first-ever human trafficking conviction in county: Man found guilty of crimes stemming from Burlingame” in the Feb 18 edition of the Daily Journal.
When I think about human trafficking of underaged sex slaves in San Mateo County, Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos comes to mind. He was detained inside a single-family residence located at 3474 Eldon St., Las Vegas, Nevada April 21, 2007, around 9:20 p.m. by the FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. There were several women in the home.
“Greg and Carlos
Just a quick word of support from me as you go through a difficult time.
To those who matter, your decades of outstanding work in law enforcement are all that count and your integrity is not the slightest marked by the modern media’s efforts to make a story out of a non-story. Hard as it is to think it now, remember it will be yesterday’s news and irrelevant by tomorrow.
My positive thoughts are out there for both of you.
Mathew Graves turned down a 10-year prison term plea bargain because he had faith in our judicial system and he knew he was not guilty of the charges the DA charged him with. He faces 30 years in prison Friday, July 21.
