Susan J. Bassi’s letter to Jeff Rosen SCC’s District Attorney.

Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen

10/31/2018

Yesterday I heard Santa Clara County District Attorney begging the Santa Clara County Supervisors for a raise, in the interest of fairness.

For all the mothers who never saw a raise in their support orders after raising children here for 20 years or more, and for all the fathers who could not afford to pay their child support because they lost their jobs or were fired because of family court……

I wondered what Jeff Rosen thought about fairness when it came to all the people his office prosecuted using harmful error as reported in the Northern California Innocence Project.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about fairness before he maliciously prosecuted two men who had to paid millions of dollars to private criminal lawyers to get a Factual Finding of Innocence.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought it was fair to pressure young Saratoga high school students to take a plea deal in connection with Audrie Pott’s suicide, while he covered up the horrific domestic violence she had endured as her mother and stepfather battled it out in our family courts.
I wondered about all the victims Mr. Rosen failed to serve as he failed to prosecute lawyers, and celebrities like former 49er Ray McDonald, who beat his pregnant girlfriend and still hasn’t been sent to trial for a single misdemeanor.

I wondered if he thought about Deanne Cifuentes-Powers who hasn’t seen her daughter in months because she tried to tell Judge Takaichi and Judge Lie her daughter was afraid of her father who had been convicted of felony domestic violence ( in another state because Jeff Rosen doesn’t prosecute high tech executives).

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about Erin O’Doherty who was destroyed in family court becaue she threw a phone at her ex. She hasn’t seen her daughter in 4 years.

I wondered if he thought about Pam Nudelman, who was married to a former prosecuter, and was left with less than 20% of her community property and support that was less than a $1000.

I wondered if he thought of all the families financially destroyed because Jeff Rosen doesn’t enforce support orders in high assets cases, only cases of the working poor.

I wondered if he thought about how he illegally paid overtime to the DDAs in his office who supported his first campaign, but wasn’t prosecuted for what was certainly a crime.

I wondered if he thought of the former prosecutor who brought him 15 criminal counts against divorce lawyer Bradford Baugh , which Rosen decided not to investigate, or prosecute.

I wondered if he thought about all the women who have reported the horrors of Judge Towery, Judge Lucas, Judge Takaichi and other family court judges rigging divorce cases, and watching Jeff Rosen let them off the hook because of his personal relationship with Judge Towery’s wife. And because Judge Towery got all of his prosecutors out of discipline with the State Bar.

I wondered if Rosen thought about the elderly victims of Terry Houghton and his lawyer wife, Valerie Houghton, who have been under indictment since 2016, and Rosen can’t seem to get to trial, despite Terry Houghton getting taxpayers to pay for his defense through the IDO.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought of all the vicitms of domestic violence who tried to get someone to help them. Someone to pick up the phone in the offie Jeff Rosen supervises.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought of the child who was sexually molested by a repeat child abuser, as his DDA hit on the mom of that child.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about all the dads who were ruined by false child abuse claims.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about all the moms he didn’t believe about child abuse and domestic violence claims.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about how he failed to supervise the employee in Victim Claims, who was abusing his wife and carrying on an affair with a subordinate.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about the man who was found guilty of child abuse in our family courts, but who is now working for Juvenile probation where he has access to abuse other people’s children.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about how the victims and their families would feel about him asking for a raise as they watched him run the DA’s office where prosecutors carry on sexual affairs and stalk the most vulnerable on Tinder and other dating websites.

I wondered if Jeff Rosen thought about the rape victims who still can’t get the results from their SART kits.

And I wondered if Jeff Rosen ever thought about all the support orders for the moms who never saw a cost of living raise after spending years raising children who would form the landscape of Silicon Valley.

It was a long meeting. I could wonder about a lot as Jeff Rosen wanted to whine about topping off his $400K a per plus pension annual perks.

I tried to interview Jeff Rosen after that meeting. Twice he faked that his leg hurt. I wondered if Jeff Rosen ever thought about how it hurt all the people who were punched, kicked threatened or killed by their spouses, intimate partners and parents who should have loved them, because Jeff Rosen is really bad at doing his job.
Mostly I am wondering if Jeff Rosen can read the law, much less follow it.

Maybe Rosen should leave publishing to the professionals.

San Mateo County Sheriff Greg Munks hires Mike Brosnan to be the County’s first Human Trafficking Coordinator $140,000 first yr. Carlos Bolanos raised it to $280,000 the next year. Paid for with Measure A funds.

Why wasn’t Jody Williams of Las Vegas considered for that position. She has much more experience in helping victims of Human Trafficking. Also the Supervisors never questioned Munks or Bolanos as having a conflict of Interest in that subject since it is a fact they were detained as customers in Operation Dollhouse. Recently San Mateo County Sheriff Deputy Heinz Pushendorf has stated they were both Transported to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. He also stated while he was President of the Deputy Sheriff Association Carlos Bolanos ordered him not to speak about Operation Dollhouse. Jody Williams recently confirmed they were Transported.

District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe is now interested in Jody Williams. Secret Warrant.

DA Steve Wagstaffe questions product efficacy versus actions of deputies, in Millbrae Jaywalker in custody death.

Chinedu Okobi R.I.P.

Deputies photographed straddling Millbrae jaywalker Chinedu Okobi

UPDATE: Missing from the above photo is Community Service Officer Joseph Gonzales. He is also not identified by the District Attorney’s Office as a person involved in the take down of Chinedu V. Okobi you will see him at the 6:38 mark of the DA’s video product released to the public on March 1, 2019.

The forensic pathologist who conducted the autopsy, Thomas W. Rogers, said Okobi died of a heart attack and listed electrocution by Taser as a contributing factor. Rogers determined the death was a homicide. Wagstaffe chose not to charge the 6 San Mateo County Employees involved.

District Attorney’s Video You will also see Evidence Tampering @ 11:04 mark

With the repeated application (shocks) of two separate tasers, oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray, and force delivered by five adult males, isn’t it reasonably likely serious injury or death would occur? Couldn’t such an eventuality have been foreseen? The answer to both those questions is quite obvious, of course it is!

And District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe who has yet to conclude his investigation is now publicly questioning the “efficacy” of the taser, really Steve? With its repeated use, in the manner described, the taser is and was a deadly weapon. And for the deputies involved to have used it, in such a manner, is and was, most likely, manslaughter. Just like the misuse of a baton, flashlight, or any other instrument, such actions have consequences. Were the deputies trained to apply a taser, in such a repeated manner? Of course not. Were they trained to apply it repeatedly, in conjunction with oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray, and physical force? Again, no.

The larger issue, now, is whether or not District Attorney Wagstaffe and his office can be relied upon to be objective and render credible findings. His questioning the “efficacy” of the two tasers used, rather than the manner and circumstances under which they were deployed by deputies, should be the real issue. In other words, DA Steve Wagstaffe speaking of product liability versus the actions and respective responsibilities of the deputies involved, before the conclusion of any investigation, speaks volumes about his lack of objectivity in the matter.

Could it be the graphic video which has surfaced, one apparently depicting deputies tasing Chinedu, applying force, and his attempting to flee, motivated Steve to float his product liability theory? Can the public trust the results of an investigation conducted by an individual so biased? The answer is no.

History of bias

Steve-Wagstaffe

D.A. Steve Wagstaffe

In 2007 DA Wagstaffe came to the aid of Bolanos, when he (Bolanos) and his boss, Sheriff Greg Munks, has been detained by the FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, at an illegal Las Vegas brothel. The site featured Asian indentured sex slaves, at least one of whom was minor, and a cache of ecstasy drugs. In a sign of solidarity and excusing the duo’s behavior, Wagstaffe wrote them an email expressing his support and characterizing them as persons who mattered. He even renewed his excuse of the two’s behavior, reaffirming his role as both a sycophant & enabler, two years ago, in a televised interview by a local news reporter.

Wagstaffe’s bias has not been limited to shilling for Bolanos. It has extended to other county officials as well. When San Mateo County Transit executives were found to have diverted over two and a half million dollars of public monies through fraud to accounts controlled by themselves, Wagstaffe was quick to attribute the crimes to bad accounting practices. He had one of his deputies, assistant deputy district attorney Al Serrato, a former FBI agent (emphasis former), be the face of such an absurd assertion, that a Criminal conspiracy involving county executives involving multiple counts of fraud (fraudulent debits used to divert millions of dollars of public monies for unintended / unauthorized use) amounted to merely bad accounting practices. Such an absurd assertion by Wagstaffe & Serrato amounted to victimizing the public for a second time -not to mention the insult to our intelligence and violation of the public trust.

Given Wagstaffe’s demonstrated bias towards Bolanos, he should recuse himself, his agency, and refer the matter to the State Attorney General for investigation. He should also immediately release the described video depicting deputies confrontation with Chinedu to the public, in order to be completely transparent. The best thing for this sort of situation is sunlight.

History of untruthfulness

CarlosG.Bolanos

Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos

There is NO Statement by Sheriff Carlos Bolanos on the Death of Chinedu Okobi. Why?

In November of 2014, Supervisor Don Horsley told KPIX 5 that Sheriff Greg Munks informed him two department machine-guns had been used for spare parts, the sheriff’s office had quietly told state officials, five months earlier, they had been stolen. I asked Don Horsley what method of communication did Sheriff Munks make that alleged statement. Supervisor Horsley refused to respond to that question.

Clearly, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and others cannot be trusted & relied upon to either tell the truth nor protect the public’s safety -two machineguns in the hands of thieves presents the very real possibility of a mass casualty event.

Possibility of positional asphyxia

In Chinedu’s death, a separate digital image (above) taken by a bystander witness raises the issue of positional asphyxia, at the hands of deputies. It depicts Chinedu face down being restrained prone, on the ground, with, what appears to be, one officer with a knee bearing down on his back while two other officers bear down on his thighs / legs. It also appears to show a collapsible baton laying on the ground just feet from Chinedu. It’s presence raises the possibility Chinedu may have been struck with a baton by deputies, during the event.

One wonders if the medical examiner performing Chinedu’s autopsy has been informed of and shown the described videos and photos, in assessing the manner & cause death? Knowing Steve and his shop, probably not -it would appear inconsistent with the narrative he is obviously trying to present.

San Mateo County News Endorsements for November 6, 2018 Election.

San Mateo County News is making only a few.

Based on the San Mateo County Democratic Committee Endorsements and lack of Endorsements. The Tell all was the SMCHD endorsement. Once you see that you realize that something is Very Wrong with this Organization.

The SMCDC aka “Those Who Matter” endorsed one person and only one person for San Mateo County Harbor District when there were two endorsements possible. I’m sure he is a wonderful person but two things stood out for me. He is a Sheriff Deputy who endorsed his boss Carlos Bolanos for Sheriff. He might be a victim and felt he had to I don’t know.

What I do know is the Edmundo Larenas who in 2016 received 175,054 votes did not endorse Carlos Bolanos for Sheriff with very good reason. He has done an outstanding job of representing the average citizen/resident aka the Taxpayer by standing up to questionable billable hours by the Law Firm that represents the SMCHD.

Mr. Stogner:

I have looked into this matter and have confirmed that Inspector Boyd did indeed conduct an interview with Irma Lopez on December 8, 2014. It was recorded, and a report was written regarding that conversation. I have personally read the report and listened to that eleven minute interview. Perhaps Mr. Hanlon can confirm the existence of this evidence for you, as he was provided with discovery of that phone call well before the preliminary hearing.

Once you have verified my information, please advise me if you wish to continue with your complaint about Inspector Boyd.

Sincerely,

Karen Guidotti

Irma Lopez was never interviewed by Jordan Boyd. This is a PC115 (A) violation

Many of my family and friends know that I have been doing my best to eliminate Prosecutorial Misconduct in San Mateo County for the last 16 years. Here is just one example. It is also a perfect PC115 (A) Felony filing a false statement to a Judge to get a warrant.

Preliminary Hearing 3/29/2016

Hon. Judge Lisa Novak

Stuart Hanlon attorney for Juan P. Lopez asking San Mateo County District Attorney Inspector Jordan Boyd who is on the witness stand under oath.

“You testified about taking a statement from Irma Lopez, Juan Lopez’s sister, correct?” Jordan Boyd answered Correct

Where was the statement taken? Was it on the phone? In person?

Jordan Boyd answered “It was on the telephone.

What day was it taken?

Jordan Boyd answered “I don’t recall the date, I have to check my report.”

You have no report of this interview you simply mention it in a Search Warrant Affidavit.

“I have no reports of an interview with Irma Lopez. I only have a statement by you and an affidavit for a search warrant or arrest warrant, I’m not sure which saying, you talked to her. I’m asking you when did you talk to her?”

Jordan Boyd answered “I don’t have that.”

Millbrae Unarmed Jaywalker’s Death Being Investigated, Following Confrontation by Sheriff’s Deputies

Chinedu Valentine Okobi

The results are not in question, it’s a lay-up for San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault. He knows what’s expected of him and he WILL deliver for District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe and Sheriff Carlos Bolanos, just as he has done in the past. He will shift the blame for 36-year-old Chinedu Okobi’s death to Chinedu himself, a scene played out, time after time, by Foucrault, Wagstaffe, and Bolanos.

coroner2010_web

Coroner Robert Foucrault

He will use the term excited delirium coupled with heart attack, to explain Chinedu’s death, versus excessive and unnecessary force employed by San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies – Chinedu, an African American male who had been jaywalking, in the city of Millbrae, was repeatedly tased, pepper-sprayed, and manhandled by at least five deputies -jaywalking is an infraction normally worthy of only a ticket.

So common is the scenario, in San Mateo County, and the roles played out by Sheriff Bolanos, Coroner Foucrault, and District Attorney Wagstaffe that one can comfortably predict, with confidence, what the outcome will be.

CarlosG.Bolanos

Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos

It’s analogous to the definition of insanity, in this case, the sheriff’s office being presented with a mentally challenged person and unwaveringly employing force resulting in death. Should Sheriff Bolanos really have anticipated a different result, given his office’s’ lack of training, vision, and direction, on how to handle such incidents? The answer is no.

Have San Mateo County authorities learned nothing, over the years, as to how to address mentally challenged persons? Unfortunately, the answer is, again, no, the result is predictable with ominous results -they choose to immediately place themselves in harms way, confront the individual without a plan, and employ force likely to result in serious injury or death.

In the instant case, five deputies earning a minimum of $100,000 each a year plus a like amount in benefits, immediately confront and employ force against the jaywalker, meaning a million dollars a year was paid for such a bad decision. Not to mention the line supervisor, manger, executive staff, and sheriff who tolerate such results. Add to that, the county department heads (District Attorney Wagstaffe & Coroner Foucrault) who rubber stamp / rationalize them, giving them a pass and enabling future similar behavior.*

What’s worse is that those persons given the people’s’ trust, in this case Sheriff Bolanos, Coroner Foucrault, and District Attorney Wagstaffe, never address the underlying issues, poor judgement on the officers part, lack of training, and excessive & unnecessary force, relative to the situation.

Steve-Wagstaffe

D.A. Steve Wagstaffe

This scenario was wholly avoidable and will undoubtedly be repeated, with sign-offs by the same cast of characters, Bolanos, Wagstaffe, & Foucrault. In short, there are no adults in the house, in San Mateo County, ones willing to be critical of officers and worthy of the public’s trust.

One only has to look at the history of like events, in the County, involving the very same individuals, Bolanos, Foucrault, and Wagstaffe, to see a deadly pattern:

2003-Ricky Escobedo causes a ruckus from the balcony of his ex-girlfriend’s Redwood City apartment. She calls the Redwood City Police and six officers fight with Escobedo, causing two broken bones around his throat, eight broken ribs, and internal bleeding. He dies and Coroner Foucrault reports it wasfrom cardiopulmonary arrest caused by excited delirium from a bruising struggle with officers. Carlos Bolanos was the Redwood City Police Chief, at the time, and Steve Wagstaffe the District Attorney Office’s Chief Deputy. Wagstaffe along with his boss, DA Jim Fox, determine officers did nothing wrong. Similarly, Bolanos said an internal investigation found no wrongdoing on the part of police. R.I.P. person of color Ricky Escobedo.

2005Fernando Cazarescauses a disturbance wherein his sister summons deputies, telling a dispatcher he was a crazy person on drugs. Deputies Chiltonand Peardonare dispatched to the 300 block of Second Avenue, in unincorporated Redwood City. A struggle ensues, involving bouts of pepper spray and hand-to-hand combat. Cazares strikes Chilton and, at one point, both officers strike him with their flashlights. Three other officers, deputies Mark Cody, Lisandro Lopez and Greg Pitlockrespond and together, the group continues fighting until Cazares is pushed to a car hood and cuffed. Cazares goes limp and dies. Coroner Foucrault reports the cause of Cazares’ death is cardiopulmonary arrest due to excited delirium, exaggerated by the struggle, pepper-spray inhalation and forcible restraints placed in a prone position. DA Jim Fox and Chief Deputy Steve Wagstaffe absolve deputies of any wrongdoing. R.I.P. person of color Fernando Cazares.

2014-Yanira Serrano-Garcia, 18 of Half Moon Bay, is shot and killed by sheriff’s deputy Menh Trieu, with whom she allegedly got “in a confrontation”. The family told dispatchers the woman was mentally ill, was located down the block with a knife, that she refused to put the weapon down when asked, and requested an ambulance to transport her to a hospital for help. Deputy Trieu drives right up to Serrano-Garcia, gets out of his patrol, and, fearing for his life, shoots her to death within 20 seconds of being on the scene. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe absolves Deputy Menh Trieu of any criminal wrongdoing. R.I.P. person of color Yanira Serrano-Garcia.

As to Chinedu himself, well he is not a person who matters. District Attorney Wagstaffe has previously been criticized by the California State Appellate Court for excluding African Americans from being jurors in a capital case; Coroner Foucrault has been investigated and criticized for sexual misconduct, while in the County’s employ; and Sheriff Bolanos had been detained and questioned by the FBI, in Las Vegas, in a Human Trafficking Investigation involving indentured Asian sex slaves, at least one of whom was a minor. I mention this only to provide the reader with some context and sense of these individuals respective character and integrity.

Welcome to the San Mateo County Two-Step!

SMC Dishonest Search Warrant, Steve Wagstaffe is going after Jody Loren Williams. Why now?

Case Number 18-SM-009489-A

Has San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office ever been used as a weapon before? Yes of course it has, John Johns R.I.P. and Sheriff Deputy Juan P. Lopez cases are perfect examples, and now, Jody L. Williams. Secret/Hidden Search Warrants

How many Misdemeanor cases from another State with Sealed Police Report and Search Warrant does the DA do per year average?

Jody Loren Williams recently discovered she missed a court appearance and had a warrant for her arrest. Both were News to her and the District Attorney wanted it that way. The DA sent the notice to appear to an address she would not get it, and they sent it by regular mail with no signature required to prove she received notice.

This behavior should come as no surprise to San Mateo County residents Pacifica resident Therese Dyer has notified the San Mateo County Supervisors for over a decade of the Corrupt DA’s Office, The Supervisors refuse to Audit which would stop the corruption on the spot.

4/25/2007 when District Attorney James P. Fox and Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe sent these 2 e-mails which demonstrate the small but very powerful group of “Above the Law” aka “Those Who Matter.” Organized Crime Element.

emails&literature

Steve Wagstaffe said “remember it will be yesterday’s news and irrelevant by tomorrow”

Now here we are 11 years later and Mr. Wagstaffe charges Jody Williams in San Mateo County Court. Who is Jody Williams? On April 21, 2007 she is the woman who reported that the 25 women and one minor who were Human Trafficked Sex Slaves in Operation Dollhouse did not make it to the Salvation Army Safe House that night where they were to be for 72 hours of safety. How would she know that, She was there to meet them.

Jody Williams is a key witness to what really happened the night of April 21, 2007, and she has confirmed what San Mateo County Sheriff Deputy Heinz Puschendorf has stated that Munks and Bolanos were transported from 3474 Eldon Street that night. Here is a quote from Jody Williams on the subject:

“Clearly, someone in ICE, Homeland Security and the trafficking task force had to be involved in this network for it to work. And clearly someone was because not only were the two sheriffs who were on site, and then released, despite the mandatory immigration laws, despite the fact drugs were seized, and also despite a juvenile and a pregnant woman being caught on sight – and frankly, if I hadn’t been chased off the property, discounted, ignored, smeared, and shut out of the process – we could have ended the whole matter and exoronerated both Greg Munks and Carlos Bolanos in one afternoon because I would have asked for either their body camfootage, or I would have asked to see their drivers’ footage.”

Jody Williams is right, FBI’s video, Limo Video. Video from LVMPD Holding cell would solve all of those questions.

San Mateo County’s Big Lie, the coverup of Munks and Bolanos at the expense of the victims and the residents of San Mateo County. Here is what they are accusing Jody Williams of:

Case Number 18-SM-009489-A Unauthorized Practice of Law

05/08/2018 BP6126(a) Misdemeanor: Unauthorized Practice of Law

08/13/2018 Notice to Appear deliberately mailed to an address where Jody would not receive it.

09/13/2018 Arrest Warrant Issued by Judge Robert Foiles for Failure to Appear and Bail set $2,500

10/02/2018 Declaration in Support of Criminal Complaint filed.

10/02/2018 Order to seal police report pursuant to PC 964

10/02/2018 Police Report Ordered Sealed

You will notice there is no mention of this Secret Search Warrant issued July 12, 2018 as noted in the above case.

Jody Williams Search Warrant

Jody L. Williams is an Advocate who was helping a Destroyed Father who just wants to get back with his children. The attorney representing his wife in a San Mateo County Family Law case was going to have none of that, and filed a criminal complaint against Jody Williams.

Steve-Wagstaffe

D.A. Steve Wagstaffe

The above Search Warrant is a Fraud. The District Attorney’s Office would have searched the Fathers e-mails to see the Illegal Crime Unauthorized Practice of Law evidence.

Instead they go after the key witness to Operation Dollhouse. Who would want to do that? Sheriff Carlos Bolanos, Steve Wagstaffe, Karen Guidotti, Morley Pitt, Albert Serrato, John Warren, just to name a few.

Jody Williams could really use your support at this time, Please consider donating to her for her legal funds that are now facing her, Think about it she lives in Las Vegas and has to commute to San Mateo County to defend herself. Thank You for reading.

serraTony

“Targeting Juan P. Lopez” “Bad Faith” “Misuse of a Search Warrant.” “Using it as an Investigative Tool.” “You can’t use a Search Warrant for that.” “Therein lies the Bad Faith.”

October 17, 2018 Honorable Judge Mark Forcum thanked Tony Serra for his comments and ruled against him. He ruled that now SMCSO Lt. Andrew Armando did have probable cause to obtain the Search Warrant. He ignored the obvious (Perjury) lying to Hon. Judge George Miriam by then SMCSO Detective Andrew Armando.

Lt. Andrew Armando has not been investigated or charged by the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. Why?

They have know known of these allegations for almost 4 years. May 1, 2018 Tony Serra and Maria Belyi filed this motion, which clearly alleges perjury.

“The most suspicious call” Lt. Andrew Armando made this call himself. That didn’t bother the Honorable Judge Mark Forcum one bit.

Lopez Filing May 1, 2018

November 15, 2018 is the next Court Date for a Franks Hearing where finally SMCSO Lt. Andrew Armando will be on the witness stand under oath.

I have been reporting about the “Targeting” to cause financial harm to Sheriff Deputy Juan P. Lopez and anyone close to him for almost 4 years now. It was refreshing to hear his attorney mention that in court yesterday. One example is the motion above which Judge Mark Forcum has personally continued at least 4 times. That means Juan’s attorneys had to drive down from San Francisco 4 times wait for the case to be called to have Forcum say it’s continued. Attorney Stuart Hanlon Juan’s first law firm told a reporter his career could be impacted for discussing Juan’s case in the interview. Nobody asked, What the Hell did Stuart Hanlon mean? Think about it. He was just telling the truth. Attorneys can and do get blacklisted in San Mateo County Courts.

Why is this one motion so important to San Mateo County Officials? It proves that San Mateo County Sheriff Detectives and San Mateo County District Attorney Inspectors commit crimes to obtain Search Warrants like the 80 that were issued in the Sunny Day Murder cases alone. This one motion also shows that the Judges don’t care.

A recent DA Steve Wagstaffe quote: “I still believe that one of the key components of a good criminal justice system is faith that judges do the right thing,”

With Audits the residents don’t need to rely on faith.

San Mateo County’s Elected Officials Disdain for Investigative Journalists, Victims, and the residents.

April 25, 2007 at 10:20AM & 10:47AM The San Mateo County’s 4 most powerful men were attacking the media. Almost all of the other elected officials went along with it.

What about the VICTIM’s? “Operation Dollhouse” 25 women including one pregnant and a minor. According to Jody L. Williams. Not a word. Not a concern of these fine men.

Those before Khashoggi
After reporters die, outrage melts into indifference.

By Suzanne Nossel
Turkey’s allegation that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was tortured, killed and dismembered inside Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul did something unusual: It shocked the global conscience.
That wasn’t the case for other foreign journalists killed in the last year. Not Indian television reporter Sandeep Sharma, killed when a truck rammed into him in March. Not Hector Gonzalez Antonio , a Mexican journalist whose bludgeoned corpse turned up on a dirt road in May. Not Maltese investigative reporter Daphne Caruana Galizia , who died in a car bombing one year ago. Not for more than 40 others just so far this year.
The furor over Khashoggi’s fate is striking given this backdrop. It’s broken through as a major news story even as authoritarian regimes are increasingly indifferent to criticism on human rights. Western governments are less and less willing to raise such issues, which might distract from their trade or security objectives. Shaming by human rights organizations, foreign officials and the media — the traditional tactics for defending the lives of journalists and dissidents — has lost much of its potency.
Even the heart-rending individual cases that historically put a face to human rights abuses and kindled global outrage seem scarcely to register amid the distractions of our rapid-fire news cycle. Chinese Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo was diagnosed with liver cancer while serving an 11-year prison sentence for penning a pro-democracy charter. Prohibited from traveling abroad for potentially lifesaving treatment, he died in July 2017. Not even the Nobel Prize was enough to render his health crisis a notable international cause.
Oleg Sentsov, a writer and filmmaker from Crimea imprisoned in Siberia, mounted a four-month hunger strike this summer to protest the dozens of Ukrainians being held by Russia as political prisoners. Sentsov’s case was not even mentioned when President Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, three months ago.
Khashoggi’s case, by contrast, sparked an extraordinary global uproar. It attracted international headlines, threats of economic sanctions, swift bipartisan action by Congress to penalize the alleged perpetrators, and a boycott of a high-profile Saudi investment conference. The chorus of disgust even prompted Trump, who was at first clear he’d prioritize U.S. weapon sales to Saudi Arabia over any retribution, to waffle and weave. He simultaneously dispatched the secretary of State to meet with Saudi King Salman, and also mused that Khashoggi’s disappearance inside the diplomatic compound might somehow be the work of “rogue killers.”
Several factors account for the Khashoggi clamor. He was a contributor to the Washington Post and the newspaper has put its full weight behind covering the case since his disappearance Oct. 2. The revelations also laid bare how tech moguls, media personalities and Trump consigliere Jared Kushner have courted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, naïvely imagining that the young royal would prove a reformer. That backdrop made the a llegedly state-ordered assassination not only brazen and brutal, but also an embarrassing betrayal for prominent elites.
Above all, though, the global convulsion over Khashoggi stems from the lurid spectacle: his being lured to the consulate the day before his planned marriage, the Saudi agents landing in private jets, one allegedly carrying a medical bone saw.
Will the fury over Khashoggi’s fate melt into indifference? The prospect that the Trump administration will reshape the U.S.-Saudi relationship in a gesture of protest on behalf of human rights seems far-fetched. In his own umbrage over Khashoggi’s disappearance, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would have the world overlook his own track record as the world’s foremost jailer of journalists. His government has used false charges of terrorism to justify prosecuting reporters and editors to put Turkey’s once relatively independent news media under Erdogan’s firm thumb.
Meanwhile the Saudis will wake up to what fellow authoritarian regimes learned long ago: that even a modest veneer of legality — a show trial, some formal charges — or a modicum of distance from any accused killers can enable them to crush their critics without much fear of consequence. The relentless swirl of the news cycle means that Khashoggi won’t remain on the home screen forever.
Khashoggi’s disappearance has prompted people of conscience in capitals, newsrooms and corporate boardrooms around the world to wonder what we have come to. Yet if this tragedy is to prompt a true reckoning, it must encompass not just this singular alleged act of savagery but a much wider, accelerating pattern of intimidation, suppression and abuse of those who dare to dissent, of which the Saudi journalist is but one victim.

SMC District Attorney should have Attorney Barbara Kuehn take a polygraph. Jody Williams case.

The case of Jody Williams should be Audited. This is an out of State case of 1 misdemeanor count of unauthorized practice of law. It has a Secret Search Warrant and the complaint/Police affidavit is SEALED.

I responded to an e-mail I received from Barbara Kuehn

Hello Barbara, I hope this finds you well also. Do I know Jody Williams, as she claims? The answer is Yes, Absolutely.
She has a criminal case now in San Mateo County.
She has identified you as the person who filed the criminal complaint with the DA’S office.
Would you like to comment?

“As for comments regarding what she is talking about, no comment. My policy my entire career in dealing with the media, and it applies to my entire staff as well, has been, is and will always be, no comment.”
Best regards.

According to Jody Williams it all started with attorney Barbara Kuehn as a protected informant for some reason.

I know for a fact that the DA’s Office recently asked a single mother of two who reported a criminal act by her ex husband a San Mateo County Sheriff Deputy to take a polygraph. She jumped at the chance, after she passed she learned that the DA did not ask the Sheriff Deputy to take one and they closed the case.

Now we have the secret Search Warrant which has placed several victims lives in danger because of Barbara Kuehn contacting the DA’s Office with a criminal complaint. The least Steve Wagstaffe, Karen Guidotti & John F. Warren could have done was ask her to take a polygraph test before they filed for the Secret Search Warrant. Hon. Judge Gerald J. Buchwald signed the Search Warrant which was subject to an order delaying notification for up to 90 days from the issuance of the warrant. This is for a single count of practicing law without a license a misdemeanor. What on earth was the Judge thinking?

Especially knowing the history of Barbara Kuehn

From the State Bar.

September 17, 1999

BARBARA JEAN KUEHN [#152283], 47, of Burlingame was suspended for three years, stayed, placed on three years of probation with a one-year actual suspension, and was ordered to take the MPRE. Credit toward the actual suspension will be given for an interim suspension which began Dec. 5, 1998. The order took effect Sept. 17, 1999.

Kuehn represented a woman in a dissolution in which the family home was sold, profits were to be split 50-50 after payment of debts, and Kuehn was entrusted with the proceeds of the sale.

She distributed more than $6,000 of the entrusted funds to herself without obtaining the court’s authorization. As a result, she was charged with, and pleaded no contest to, embezzlement. She agreed to cease practice for one year, home detention for six months, a fine of $3,750, three years of probation and 200 hours of community service.

Kuehn was placed on interim suspension last December.
