D.A. Stephen M. Wagstaffe
San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe argued that releasing the video now before the entire investigation is completed wouldn’t give the public the whole story and all the facts. It’s been 63 days that is long enough to stall.
It would however answer the questions a large Faith Group is demanding the answers to. Did the Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office Lie to the Public.
For this reason the Recordings and Videos should be preserved and copied NOW. The 5 Supervisors should each have a copy.
Was there a 9-1-1 call. Did Chinedu assault a SMC Deputy as the Sheriff’s Office Claims and the DA’s Office has promoted that story, How many times was Chinedu struck and where with the expandable baton the Sheriff’s Office failed to mention. How many of the six times he was tased were from the same weapon, and for what length of time and voltage. Was he tased by 2 separate tasers at the same time. If so what would be the combined effect on Chinedu. After he was murdered by the 5 San Mateo County Sheriff Deputies, the video and audio would show the public the care those 5 Deputies gave by declaring it a crime scene and giving NO CPR.
These are the reasons Steve Wagstaffe is not releasing the recordings.
