Julia Streeter for Supervisor of San Mateo County.

 By Michael G. Stogner

I’ve said for a long time if you just replace all five Supervisors with good Human-beings the County residents would benefit immediately. I realize there might need to be an age requirement wavier but I recommend Julia for Supervisor. She sent this letter to City of Foster City Manager.

Good evening Mr. Hall,

My name is Julia Streeter, and I am an independent girl scout Troop 96389.

I am a 6th grader at Bowditch and I would like to organize a protest in Foster City focusing on black inequality. I’m inspired to do this because there are peaceful protests all around the bay area, but there has yet to be one in Foster City, and I think it would be a good idea to show support for black people in our community too.

I was thinking the route would start at City Hall and go around the block down Foster City Blvd towards Beach Park turning towards Shell, and then turning at the back entrance of the library and ending at the Police Department. This route would stay on the sidewalk and avoid crossing any major intersections. I don’t know how many people will be there but without advertising it publically, I already have 50 people interested. These people consist of both kids and their parents. I assume there will be teenagers interested, too, who may attend without their parents but with their permission.

I can update you later when I have a better idea of everyone who’s coming. I was hoping this could be from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday or Friday. I’ll encourage people to have posters pre-made prior to the start of the protest and plan on giving them instructions beforehand and a speech afterward.
I was also wondering if I need any permits or if there are any requirements that I need to follow? Do you have any suggestions on how to make this protest safer?

Thank you for your time and stay safe,
Julia Streeter

Some of you might RECALL Julia was instrumental in the successful recall of an Elected Official in San Mateo County recently.
