What happens when False Charges are filed in San Mateo County? NOTHING. What are the costs to be Falsely Charged of a Serious Crime in San Mateo County? First there is Bail if you can afford it, $170,000 in Juan P. Lopez’s case, Then there is the retainer fee for a competent law firm $120,000 and once that amount is used up there is the hourly rate for your two attorneys to represent you at every court appearance over the next 6 plus years. You can do the math yourselves this month one day alone his two attorneys from San Francisco drive down spend 7 hours in two different Courtrooms and Juan Lopez’s case was never heard. How much did that one day cost? You try to hire 2 competent Defense Attorneys, What would a Josh Bentley cost per hour? Don’t forget to include the 6 plus years Juan P. Lopez has bee unemployable.
Who is responsible for the Sheriff, District Attorney, and County Counsel Attorneys Illegal behavior? The obvious answer is David Canepa, Don Horsley, Warren Slocum, Dave Pine and Carole Groom,The Supervisors of San Mateo County. Are they aware of the Corruption and Illegal Behavior, of course they are just ask Therese Dyer of Pacifica or Martin Fox. Do the 7 print media papers have any responsibility in these crimes continuing by not informing the public about them?
Juan P. Lopez ran for Sheriff of San Mateo County 2014, His car was broken into shortly after that it was located at his residence in Redwood City, California, The crime was reported to the San Mateo County Sheriff Office who had jurisdiction because it occurred in the unincorporated area of Redwood City. When asked if he had any idea who might have broken into his vehicle and stole documents from his BACKPACK he answered the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force. This just happens to be the same property that Juan P. Lopez lives in today and it is the same property that the DA’s Office has Election Fraud charges still pending.
Just one of the Knowingly False Charges filed against Juan P. Lopez was Smuggling a Cellphone and Drugs to a Hells Angel Gang Member inmate at the Maguire Jail. It took 2.5 years of court appearances before a Judge threw those charges out because of lack of ANY evidence connecting Mr. Lopez to those crimes. NOTHING happened for filing false charges.
