City Manager Shawnna Maltbie and Police Chief Patrick Hensley just THINK about that for a few minutes. What would have happened if your four Police Officers didn’t find themselves at a disabled truck with a Flat Tire on April 7, 2021 in a residential neighborhood at 1:55 PM.
Roger Allen would be alive today and hundreds of people would not be protesting and saying Roger Allen’s name along with Shawnna Maltbie’s name.
Roger Allen was not the driver of the parked vehicle, has was sitting in the front passenger seat, when he was shot and killed by one of the FOUR UNNAMED Daly City POLICE OFFICERS.
All San Mateo County Elected Officials and Staff are silent on Roger Allen’s Homicide, Why? The same thing happened with Chinedu V. Okobi’s Homicide in Millbrae by Six San Mateo County Sheriff Employees October 3, 2018. I say Chinedu V. Okobi was SMC’s George Floyd and Sgt David Weidner was SMC’s Derek Chauvin.
Daly City Elected Officials and Staff have chosen to NOT identify the four Involved Police Officers for some unknown reason. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said it’s up to Police Chief Patrick Hensley.
“Making the City of Daly City a safe place to live, work and play.”
The members of our department are highly trained and dedicated to serving our community by maintaining an active and progressive partnership with the citizens, schools and businesses of the City of Daly City.
The City understands that the incident has raised questions in our community.
Daly City is committed to transparency and will provide updates to the community as additional details become available.
If those statements were TRUE, the public would have known the names of the four Daly City Police Officers 20 days ago.
To show the public just how important their concerns and questions about the Homicide of a Black man sitting in the passenger seat of a disabled truck in afternoon. Tomorrow night Daly City Council Meeting will have Public Comment available as Agenda Item 13. That should put it far enough back to eliminate the majority of the public who had something to say.
I recommend City Manager Shawnna Maltbie call a Special Meeting to handle all of the public comments.
Start it a 6 PM give the speakers 3 minutes not the normal 2 minutes.
