The Police Chief of San Carlos is San Mateo County Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos not Captain Kristina Bell. It would be helpful if the City manager Jeff Maltbie and the City attorney Rubens informed the council of that fact and use the proper word to describe Kristina Bell’s position.
Also just a Heads to San Carlos City Council about getting too involved in what kind of Police Services you might want for the Safety of your residents. Look no further than Newly Elected Half Moon Bay Council Member Joaquin Jimenez putting an Ordinance on last weeks agenda.

San Carlos Council just voted a $9,957,000 contract with San Mateo County Sheriff Office under the leadership of Carlos G. Bolanos.
On the Bright side, Mark Melville is running for Sheriff of San Mateo County in 2022.
It should come as No Surprise that Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos is dishonest. Here is just one example.
SMCSO Sergeant Otte committed Perjury in Judge Lisa Novak courtroom on Jan. 5, 2017 in the Rachel A. Quintana criminal case. She was arrested just days after reporting Sheriff Deputy’s harassing her two brothers in Half Moon Bay. Otte thought it was funny to video the arrest on his cell phone. He later lied in court about it, Bolanos thought it was funny too. That’s San Mateo County’s Sheriff for you.
