For those who don’t know or don’t remember Barbara Bonilla is/was Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos’s right hand woman for the last 20 years. They worked together at Redwood City Police Department. Her speciality/strength was Fundraising. When Carlos Bolanos left the RWCPD to join his friend Sheriff Greg Munks as the UnderSheriff of San Mateo County in 2007, Barbara Bonilla shortly followed and became employed by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. She was Sheriff Bolanos’s Campaign Manager for the 2018 Campaign for Re-Election.
February 28, 2020 San Mateo County News.com wrote the first article about Sheriff Activities League Executive Director Barbara Bonilla being placed on Administrative Leave and escorted from her office on February 10, 2020.
Question for the residents of San Mateo County, How many San Mateo County Employees and Elected Officials knew that Barbara Bonilla was escorted out of her office at SAL Headquarters and was being Investigated for Embezzlement and Money Laundering before I wrote my first article.
I can tell you that Barbara Bonilla, Carlos G. Bolanos, Christina Corpus, and Supervisor Don Horsley did. Not one of them notified the public or the media. Why?
