San Mateo County News.com asked San Mateo County Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos and his Public Information Officer what was his position on having all of his employees mandated to be vaccinated in order to work in San Mateo County.

The union representing San Francisco sheriff’s deputies said last week a number of its officers will quit or retire early if they are forced to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Under a mandate issued last month, city employees who work in the jails or other high-risk settings are required to be vaccinated by Sept. 15 or risk losing their jobs.
The San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Assn. said on its Facebook page Friday that about 160 of 600 sheriff’s department employees are rejecting the vaccine due to religious or other beliefs, and would rather wear masks or test weekly.
“If deputy sheriffs are forced to vaccinate a percentage of them will retire early or seek employment elsewhere,” the statement said.
The union said that the staffing level at the sheriff’s office is already low, and that the loss of more deputies will affect public safety. It is asking the city to follow state guidelines, which offer employees the option of testing regularly.
City officials denounced the union’s position, coming days after seven Bay Area counties reinstated indoor masking requirements to stem transmission of the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus.
“There is also an undue and unacceptable health and safety risk that is imposed upon the city, our employees and the public we serve, by those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19,” the city’s Department of Human Resources said in a statement. “Vaccines are safe, effective and readily available to our employees.”
About 16% of sheriff’s deputies, 17% of police and 9.5% of Fire Department employees were not vaccinated as of Friday, according to city data obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Meanwhile, the average unvaccinated rate across all city departments is 7.7%.
Nancy Crowley, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department, said officials are working with the human resources department to obtain full compliance by the deadline.

How many of the 800 San Mateo County Sheriff Employees have been vaccinated to date?
Do you plan to make it an Employment Policy Requirement as the State of California has just announced this week for Government Employees?

I am not sure how many of the other 7 advertising businesses aka Newspapers asked Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos that same question but I do know none have written about that subject. I think the residents of San Mateo County have a right to know the answer to this type of question. This is a Public Health Issue.

I had called every attorney in San Mateo, and none of them would take on my case. Juan Lopez attorney said he could not take on another case, which I understand. I tried over 50 San Francisco attorneys, who also refused me. I then found one who said he would. He supposedly needed paralegal work, and we agreed to do a trade. Only after four months of working night and day seven days a week, the excuses about why I have no retainer agreement in my hand, nor why he’s doing nothing on my case ran thin. I put my foot down and said no more work until I get the agreement. He then started to threaten me. Physically threatened to harm me AND provide false evidence against me in San Mateo. Ok found another attorney who said he would go after this attorney, and defend me in San Mateo. He then makes me swear to not go to the Bar or the Labor board until he says so. I try to pay him cash and he says he needs work done. As I start doing paralegal work for this guy, I’m seeing a man who is his client suing LAPD for breaking his neck during a 5150 call, only this guy is not doing the case right. The guy will lose. I begin to think this guy is just throwing the case and I’m being taken for a ride. So I advise this guy to seek another opinion, and tell this attorney I want my retainer agreement. He ghosts me. So I’m doing my best Michael to appear in San Mateo with a defense attorney since they have no public defender there, but I’m not getting anywhere. I think I’ll have to wait until those sheriff’s are retired and Steve wagstaffe is out of office, and then file a motion to dismiss. You say there wasn’t even anything in my file! I may ask you for a declaration as I prepare this motion if ok with you.
