PARKING ON DECEMBER 8, 2021:
You may park your car for free in the public parking structure located at 400 County Center, Redwood City, CA in any spot labeled as Jury Parking. The spots for Jury Parking are labeled with purple signs.
You may park your Electronic News Gathering vans/Satellite News Gathering vans in the surface lot located at 400 County Center, Redwood City, CA behind the Regional Emergency Operations Center. You may only park where the signs say ‘Contractor Parking’ or ‘Boards and Commissions’. Please note that the surface lot is only accessible from Winslow Street.
MEDIA ACCESS TO THE DECEMBER 8, 2021 HEARING:
The Court will live stream the hearing via the Court’s YouTube channel. The only way the live stream may be viewed is by way of the Court’s YouTube channel. By California Rule of Court and by court order, the recording and rebroadcasting of the live stream is strictly prohibited.
On November 29, 2021 the Court selected by way of a lottery the media representatives that shall be granted a seat in the courtroom. The selections are as follows:
- Pool Still Photographer – Andrew Alfaro – Modesto Bee
- Sketch Artist – Vicki Behringer (Media outlets need to contract with her individually)
- Media Representative – Geoff Glaub – KGOTV
- Media Representative – Marianne Favro – NBC Bay Area
- Media Representative – Matt Pitman – KCBS Radio
PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE DECEMBER 8, 2021 HEARING:
You may submit your name for entry into the lottery for a seat in the courtroom up until 12:00 p.m. on December 7, 2021. The Court will notify members of the public who have been selected by 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2021.
If you do not receive a phone call from the Court by 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2021 notifying you that you were selected, it means that you were not selected. You can instead view the proceedings on the Court’s YouTube channel.
DIRECTIONS FOR THOSE GRANTED A SEAT IN THE COURTROOM:
On December 8, 2021, please check-in with Deputy Court Executive Officer Sarah Lind no later than 9:30 a.m. Sarah will be located outside of the courthouse, in front of the entryway of the security screening area. You will be given a wristband, and assigned to a specific seat number inside of the courtroom. Entry into the courtroom will be at the direction of Sheriff’s Officer Personnel, at or before 10:00 a.m.
There is no audio or video recording allowed in the courtroom. No usage of electronic devices will be allowed by the media or public during the hearing.
