Supervisors Meeting today, Kristina Bell #15 and County Counsel Appointment in Closed session.

By Michael G. Stogner

Item 15. Recommendation to confirm the appointment of Kristina Bell to the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission, representing Law Enforcement, for an initial term ending September 30, 2024.Sponsors:
Supervisor Dave Pine

If Agenda Item 15 is talking about San Mateo County Sheriff Captain Kristina Bell who has been identified by the City of San Carlos as their Police Chief, I would recommend Item 15 be removed from the agenda until the 5 Supervisors can ask her about the Domestic Violence call Redwood City Police Officers responded to at her residence, which San Mateo County News.com reported about on May 22, 2018. This is an example of “Those Who Matter”

San Mateo County News.com article on D.V. call

The second item of interest is in CLOSED SESSION: Public Employee Appointment:

Title: County Counsel

You can’t really tell if they are talking about San Mateo County Counsel John C. Beiers or not.

Time will tell.
