The public is asking for Sheriff Carlos to be fired and his pension to be forfeited, Don Horsley has not made an official statement. Rishi Kumar candidate for Congress has.

“In an era where law enforcement is under such siege, this seems like this was not very well thought out,” San Mateo County Supervisor Don Horsley told me. “What we’re trying to do — what we should be trying to do — is establish credibility with people, not do things that look like we’re doing favors. And that’s kind of, unfortunately, what this looks like.”

And on Saturday, the county retained retired Superior Court Judge Winifred Y. Smith to launch yet another investigation. WHY?
“What we can do is extremely limited,” said Horsley, who was sheriff for 14 years. “This is the California Constitution. The sheriff is an elected officer. We can’t remove them from office. And nor would we, over one particular incident, but it is a heck of an incident.”

This comment has got to be my favorite Former School Teacher, Former Sheriff, and President of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Don Horsley quote: “We can’t remove them from office. And nor would we, over one particular incident, but it is a heck of an incident.”

Don Horsley said “over one particular incident” Is the Mark Racop Batmobile Abuse of Authority case the only case of Abuse of Law Enforcement that Don Horsley is aware of?

Has Don Horsley ever heard of Sandra Lee Harmon who was executed by San Mateo County Sheriff’s Employees in Half Moon Bay on May 5, 2020. Has he ever watched the video that Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos provided the public which shows an unarmed woman with her hands up above her head and her back facing towards the Deputy who is firing at her. She did have 3 fatal shots in her back.

Has Don Horsley ever heard of Half Moon Bay Resident Rachel Quintana who was falsely arrested and charged in RETALIATION for making a report in the HMB substation.

Has Don Horsley ever heard of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League Embezzlement and Money Laundering Criminal Investigation. SMCSO Lt. Michael Leishman was the lead Investigator, that is a nice trick having the Sheriff’s Office investigate itself.
