David Canepa Congress or Recall?

By Michael G. Stogner

The Politician

San Mateo County President of the Board of Supervisors David Canepa aka “Showboater” knows a great opportunity to Fund Raise when he sees one. Today he is holding his official Kickoff Campaign for Congress. He might as well, he has done nothing to make San Mateo County Safer or to Eliminate Corruption in San Mateo County that I am aware of.

Most recently in the (retired) San Mateo County Sheriff Deputy Juan Pablo Lopez criminal case which has been going on for 7 years, Superior Court Judge Joseph Scott, Court Clerk Katrina Bihl, and Court Reporter Jocelyne Fakouri, Conspired to commit a crime, then did commit the crime of PC115A filing a False Instrument with the court which by itself is a Felony. All three made false statements under the penalty of Perjury. David Canepa thinks that is cool. I don’t.

A reasonable person would think the President of the Board of Supervisors would be Interested in making San Mateo County Safer for the ordinary resident, Nobody is Above the law, etc. Not David Canepa. Over the the last 7 years I have reported the Illegal conduct against Sheriff Deputy Juan P. Lopez, by multiple San Mateo County Employees, I can’t recall a single time that David Canepa showed any interest.

When Chinedu V. Okobi R.I.P. San Mateo County’s George Floyd, was killed by SIX San Mateo County Sheriff Employees on October 3, 2018, Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos and his Public Information Officer Immediately issued two False Press Releases both omitting the sixth very involved CSO Joseph Gonzales. David Canepa approved of that behavior.

December 4, 2018 BOS Meeting Video of Former San Mateo County DSA President Heintz Puschendorf

I took the above video, I drove up from Monterey County to attend that meeting I had every intention of speaking on behalf of Chinedu V. Okobi and his family. I sat in the front row next to SMCSO Deputy Heintz Puschendorf the entire meeting, after listening to all of the speakers and watching Supervisor David Canepa refusing to pay any attention to all of the speakers, He wouldn’t even look at them, I chose not to speak.

I wrote this Article David Canepa Please Pretend

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League Embezzlement and Money Laundering Investigation Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos, SMCSO Captain Christina Corpus and SMCSO ret. Captain Jeffrey C. Kearnan and Supervisor President David Canepa all thought it was a Great Idea for the Sheriff’s Office to Investigate Itself. A reasonable person would know that is NUTS.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier announced this week she will not run for re-election.

In 2008 she demanded the Board of Supervisors Investigate the April 21, 2007, FBI Sting called Operation Dollhouse where Under Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos was Caught and Detained Inside a single family residence located at 3474 Eldon Street, Las Vegas, Nevada at 9:30 PM. To this day 14 years later nobody has asked Carlos G. Bolanos why he entered that disgusting smelling home.

It was either to have sex with Human Trafficked Sex Slaves including a minor or a more logical reason is it was a Drug Deal of 3,500 Ecstasy Tablets for $25,000 Cash.

San Mateo County President of the Board of Supervisors David Canepa has never wanted to know the answer and he has been fine with now Sheriff Carlos G. Bolanos lying about it for 14 years.

I think Supervisor President David Canepa should resign from the Board effective today so that he and his TEAM can devote FULL TIME and effort into something he is really passionate about, which is Fund Raising and promoting himself. I wish him the best.

Welcome to San Mateo County

Supervisors approve Funding for Seaton Medical Center Hospital.

By Michael G. Stogner

March 10, 2020 Special Meeting held at 3:00PM the Supervisors voted 4-1 (Supervisor Pine voted No) in favor of providing $20,000,000 at $5,000,000 per year for 4 year term. The actual terms are not made yet and there are many variables that will take more time.

Supervisors Don Horsley and David Canepa had made the only motion/proposal to provide money. At one point Canepa called the $20M a loan. Now a loan is a much different subject and County Counsel John Beiers reminded Canepa that his motion was for a Grant not a loan. That is just one small example of how complicated this subject was.

The below ink is the Supervisor Meeting and Vote it starts at 3:05 mark

San Mateo County’s Measure W Fails.

Based on the information from San Mateo County Election Office there was a total of 286,210 ballots received, of that amount 265,793 ballots tallied a total 249,288 voted either yes or no for Measure W. That also means that 16,605 votes were not tallied or didn’t vote either way for Measure W. = 6.24% of the 265,793.

With a total of 20,417 remaining ballots to be tallied, minus the 6,24% No tally or vote for Measure W average leaves 19,149 votes to be tallied. The Yes on Measure W would have to get 68.7% of the remaining ballots “and they are statistically unlikely to meet the necessary threshold”.

With that information We are calling Measure W Failed.

Total Registered Voters 399,591, 286,210 Voted = 72% Turnout

Letter to Supervisor David Canepa.

SMC Supervisor David Canepa

October 16, 2018

To: David Canepa/ District 5 Supervisor

From: Christopher Conway/Constituent – District 2

Re: Seton Medical Center/ Daly City, Ca.

Dear Mr. Canepa –

I am a San Mateo County voter and reside in Distict 2. I am writing to you today to express my concern with the situation that is currently happening with Seton Medical Center in Daly City and to a lesser extent with the coastside facility in Moss Beach. My worry is that with Verity Health filing for bankruptcy, there are powers that be starting rumblings of having our county take over or participate in the operation of the hospital and even considering buying it outright. This is a private business whose losses and bad decisions should not be absorbed by your constituents. As a county, we have already pledged or given over $40 million dollars to a hospital that is seismically unfit. This hospital has unfunded pension guarantees that are the responsibility of the employer and should not become the liability of either the county or state. These pensions were part of a private negotiation between employer and employees and the liability must remain with the employer, not the public sector. This hospital is also expected to lose $30 million dollars this year with no hope of profitability in the foreseeable future.

I have written articles on this subject ever since Daughters of Charity put up for sale their network of hospitals. I became interested when Kamala Harris acting as Attorney General for the state of California put onerous conditions on the sale of the hospital to any buyer willing to step up. Verity Health finally did step up but the conditions placed on them by Kamala Harris, public unions and special interests caused them to declare bankruptcy. Current officials have stated that they want to keep these onerous conditions on any new buyer as a non-negotiable item. You and I both know that this will prevent and future private buyer from coming forward. If a private buyer could be found, we all agree that would be terrific. However, if the only buyer becomes our county, speaking on behalf of many voters, we don’t want any part of it.

So, I would like you to answer for me on behalf of county tax payers what your thoughts are on the fate of Seton Medical Center in Daly City and the role the county intends to take. I obviously would like the supervisors to act with transparency and give time for public input. Meetings on the matter should be announced well in advance. I believe this would be a terrible deal for our county and my concern comes primarily from the crumbling infrastructure, the unfunded pension liabilities and the losses that the hospital incurs year in and year out.

Seaton Medical Center Funded and Staffed the Yes on Measure A Campaign in 2012. How much did they receive for that investment?

The San Mateo County Grand Jury warned the residents about its Elected Officials misleading the voters, in other words lying to them.
