Three-month investigation leads to arrest of 72-year-old Peninsula massage therapist
San Mateo County, California – A three-month investigation in San Carlos has led to the arrest of a 72-year-old massage therapist after authorities said multiple victims reported being inappropriately touched during massage sessions.
Earlier this week, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said the case began in February 2026, when deputies assigned to the San Carlos Police Bureau received a report of se-ual battery at a business in the 1100 block of El Camino Real.
An adult female victim told deputies that a male massage therapist had touched her in an unwanted and inappropriate way during a massage therapy session.
Deputies provided resources to the victim, and detectives quickly opened an investigation. What first appeared to be a single report soon grew into a broader case. As investigators continued reviewing the allegations, they identified the suspect as Enli Feng, a 72-year-old San Bruno resident who had provided massage therapy services in Peninsula cities, including Millbrae and San Carlos.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation continued for about three months and uncovered multiple victims. Authorities then obtained an arrest warrant for Feng.
On Friday, May 15, 2026, Feng was located and taken into custody. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges including se-ual battery by fraud, se-ual battery, and theft by a caretaker from an elder adult. The charges listed by authorities were PC 243.4(c), PC 243.4(e)(1), and PC 368(c).
Investigators believe there may be more victims who have not yet been identified. Because Feng worked as a massage therapist in more than one Peninsula community, authorities are asking anyone who recognizes him, or who may have information about this case or any other unreported crimes, to come forward.
