Caltrain makes sure concert night travel is fun and easy with Caltrain’s Kendrick and SZA experience

Bay Area – People in the Bay Area are getting enthusiastic for Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s show at Oracle Park on Thursday, May 29. Caltrain is offering a special travel experience that combines convenience with joy as thousands of fans are set to flock to San Francisco for the highly anticipated Grand National Tour stop.
Caltrain will have two unique themed cars on its northbound 523 express train for people going to the concert who want to start the fun before they even get there. This unique service offers a fun journey with entertainment, music, and surprises on board, like chances to win rare Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Caltrain merchandise.
The 523 leaves San Jose Diridon at 5:22 p.m. and arrives at the downtown station in San Francisco, which is only a block from Oracle Park, at 6:22 p.m. This gives fans plenty of time to get ready before the event starts at 7:00 p.m.
Caltrain’s regular weekday schedule, which is now partly powered by a new electric fleet, gives travelers going to and from the city a lot of choices. The last southbound train of the night leaves San Francisco Station at 12:05 a.m. for those who stay until the last encore. This is a reliable way for people who go to concerts late at night to get home.
Caltrain wants to remind passengers that the system runs on a proof-of-payment basis. This means that tickets aren’t sold on the train, but you may buy them at ticket machines at the station or through the Caltrain mobile app. Individuals can buy tickets ahead of time on their phones and avoid long lines at crowded stations. Mobile Day Passes are good for the whole day of purchase. There are also lower fares: Clipper START participants pay half the regular price, and kids 18 and under can ride for $1 one way or $2 for a full day.
If you drive to a Caltrain station, you can park for $5.50 a day. You can instantly buy a permit at a ticket machine or using the mobile app by inputting the space number after you park. People who drive to work should remember that they have to pay for parking all day.
When there are major events, there are also enormous crowds. That’s why Caltrain is also enforcing its rules: on special event nights, open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on trains after 9 p.m. This keeps everyone safe and comfortable on the trip.
